Fewer accidents and emergencies

Supporting society and individuals to prevent accidents and emergencies is one of the MSB's main tasks. This is an extensive field ranging from domestic accidents to societal vulnerabilities. We do this, by providing support and advice, producing regulations and procedures, and helping to make society safe and secure.

Information security

Information security is a support task to increase the quality of societal services. The MSB has the task of supporting and coordinating work with societal information security.

National risk and capability assessment

Sweden needs to be able to handle a range of challenges, from accidents and disasters to war. The National Risk Assessment is part of the process of developing our collective capability to prevent and manage extensive and adverse events at all levels of society.
