Ten years of successful research and development collaboration with DHS

The yearly bilateral meeting between the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and MSB takes place on June 28-29 in Washington. The collaboration creates possibilities for Swedish governmental agencies to exchange knowledge and experiences with US counterparts.

A fruitful meeting was held on April 20th between MSB and Public Safety Canada. The overall purpose was to widen the field of cooperation between the countries, especially between MSB and Public Safety Canada, and to identify new prioritized areas of collaboration.

MSB is delivering relief assistance to the people fleeing Mosul

Following the build-up of the military offensive on Mosul, the humanitarian community is witnessing continuous displacement of people. The MSB support will provide shelter for around 3500 people and the relief items will be deployed from Örebro aiport Tuesday evening and will arrive in Mosul within a few days.

Hurricane Matthew has affected several Caribbean islands. Southwestern Haiti is, so far, the worst hit. Through the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), Sweden is therefore sending several experts to Haiti in order to assist UN and EU humanitarian support to mitigate the consequences for the population.
