Positive reception of the brochure If Crisis or War Comes

The brochure If Crisis or War Comes that was distributed to all households by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) during the end of May has enjoyed a widespread positive reception by the public. 76 percent have read the content and 91 percent acknowledge receiving the brochure.

MSB and EU have signed the agreement concerning the strategic warehouse for civilian missions

Dan Eliasson, the Director General of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, MSB, has today signed a contract stating that Sweden and MSB will be assigned the task of managing the EU’s strategic warehouse for civilian and conflict management operations. The warehouse will be located in Kristinehamn, where MSB already conducts extensive stockholding and logistical activities for missions in Sweden and around the world.

During Emergency Preparedness Week, 28 May – 3 June, MSB is sending out the brochure If Crisis or War Comes to 4.8 million households in Sweden. All households are being sent a copy, but you can already download and read the brochure, which is about our collective preparedness and security.

MSB gets the assignment to handle EU’s strategic stock for European crisis management

The Foreign Affairs Council has now decided to give MSB the task of storing, purchasing and transporting equipment used in EU civilian and conflict management operations.
