A New Course to Strengthen Security Officials

This week, MSB is hosting the first OSCE Security Officials Course, a joint long-term project between MSB and OSCE, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. The aim is to enhance the capacity of OSCE security staff.

MSB on site in earthquake-stricken Albania

On November 26, a major earthquake with several aftershocks struck Albania. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) quickly responded to a request from the EU’s Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) and has sent an expert to join a team of experts from other member states in the EU’s emergency response team.

What is needed for evidence-based fire prevention work?

Over two days, 30 participants from eight countries (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Germany) gathered in a workshop in Karlstad to encourage the development of evidence-based practice in the area of fire safety.
