Notice of interest – observers programme HELCOM Balex Delta 2018

HELCOM BALEX DELTA is an annual oil and chemical spill recovery exercise in the Baltic Sea, hosted in turn by the Baltic states. This year the exercise is held 27th–30th August in Karlskrona, Sweden. Project lead is the Swedish Coast Guard while MSB is in charge of the observers programme.

As the BALEX DELTA 2018 exercise receives funding from the DG ECHO programme, observers from 52 countries have been invited to en EU-observers programme in order to ensure that the Baltic best practices can be spread throughout the EU. In addition, the Baltic Sea community that regularly takes part in the HELCOM Balex Delta exercises is invited to attend the observers programme.

The observers programme starts in the evening of Monday 27th of August and ends after lunch on Wednesday 29th of August.

Expression of interest

For an expression of interest, please use this registration link below. Please note that there is a restricted number of participant places, and that the project may need to limit the number of participants. All registered will be notified regarding their possible participation following registration deadline but no later than June 14th.

There is a limited opportunity for non EU-observers to participate in the observers programme for Balex Delta 18.

Practical information

Participation, including meals, is free of charge. Travel and lodging are payed for and organised by the participants themselves.
