Workshop on evidence-based fire safety

Researchers, policy makers, regulators and practitioners from the Baltic Sea region met on a a workshop discussing the question: ”What knowledge and analytical methods are needed to support evidence-based fire safety?"

Evidence-based practice has become a key term in many policy areas and we wanted to use the workshop as an arena for addressing questions related to how this framework can improve the effectiveness of fire safety interventions. These include issues related to the relevance and quality of different data-sets and research methods, the production of meta-analyses and systematic reviews, and the processes of implementation, i.e. how the best available knowledge is actually used in policy-making and in practice.
