Text message sent as planned
The sending of a text message to Swedish mobile subscribers yesterday went according to plan and no technical issues were reported. The majority of Swedish subscribers received the text message – just over 12 million text messages were sent out during the day.
Information on stricter regulations via text message
In order to reach more people with information on stricter regulations and general advice on our collective responsibility to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Swedish Public Health Agency (Fohm) and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) will send out a text message on Monday 14 December 2020 to all Swedish mobile subscribers.
Video for people with an intellectual disability about reducing transmission
The Swedish Agency for Participation, together with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and the National Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities, has produced a video about the coronavirus directed at people with an intellectual disability.
MSB tasked with new communication efforts related to COVID-19
Due to the increasing spread of infection in Sweden this autumn, the Government has commissioned MSB, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, and the county administrative boards to coordinate, strengthen, and expand public information on the pandemic.

The work performed by voluntary organisations is substantial and important. On Wednesday, MSB’s Director-General Dan Eliasson visited Nacka and the municipality’s local Red Cross to learn about voluntary work there.
