Videos on how we can slow down the spread of infection together now available in several languages
The objective of the Government assignment given to MSB due to the novel coronavirus is to reach as many as possible in our society with information on how we can slow down the spread of infection together.
In order to reach foreign-born persons and new arrivals, but also other groups that do not have a good command of the Swedish language or who cannot absorb written information, MSB has given the County Administrative Board of Skåne a special assignment to translate and otherwise adapt information on the coronavirus that the Public Health Agency of Sweden makes available to the general public.
The information will be presented in short video clips where social and health communicators provide current information from the Public Health Agency of Sweden and other responsible authorities.
More languages are coming
As a first step, the information is translated into Arabic, Somali, Tigrinya, and Persian. The features will gradually expand both in terms of languages and content.
The video links will be disseminated on social media and via various networks that include authorities, municipalities, and civil society organisations.
The work will be based on the knowledge-based support platform for migration and health, MILSA, used by the County Administrative Board of Skåne for many years in order to promote the health and participation of newly arrived migrants.
Informationsverige.se is a website providing information in several different languages about Swedish society for asylum seekers and persons who have recently been granted a residence permit. The website is operated by the county administrative boards in cooperation with, inter alia, the Swedish Migration Agency.
Under this assignment, the County Administrative Board of Skåne cooperates with several other actors, such as the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland, Ronneby municipality, Region Östergötland, and Lapplands lärcentra.
