Many years of experience in international operations

MSB personnel have many years of experience working with and providing support to other organizations during and after natural disasters and conflict situations.

Ongoing operations

The MSB usually has projects ongoing on several continents. In recent years, the proportion of operations in Africa has increased. The red marks on the map show ongoing projects with staff on site, the white markings show ongoing projects without own MSB staff on site.

This is what the MSB can offer

At the MSB we have a wide range of capabilities. This means we can respond to requests for everything from quick emergency response operations for urban search and rescue to mine action and long-term projects for Disaster Risk Reduction.

This is how the MSB works

The MSB's overseas operations are always initiated by a request. If the request is answered positively an operation is tailored to the current needs. Issues such as gender and environment are taken into account, and have in recent years gained greater priority.
