Sweden and the US exchanged views on geomagnetic storms

In February MSB met with the US authorities FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) to exchange views on preparedness for geomagnetic storms. The conclusions of the event are summarised in the workshop summary.

The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) hereby announce a jointly funded call on the research theme of the global fight against communicable diseases by developing the capacity in the handling and prevention of these. Approximately 20 million SEK will be available in the first year.
